Annual event to provide attendees with tools and information to help prepare students for their futures

INDIANAPOLIS (May 30, 2019) —— The Indiana Youth Institute (“IYI”) will be hosting its annual College and Career Conference June 5-6, 2019 at the Indianapolis Marriott North (3645 River Crossing Parkway) near the Fashion Mall at Keystone at the Crossing.

The conference brings together youth-serving professionals from across the Midwest including educators, counselors, youth workers, and philanthropic and civic leaders for two days to advance a wide range of readiness needs and options for students related to postsecondary education and the workforce.

This year’s conference will feature keynote speakers Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, president of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Dr. LaMarr Darnell Shields, co-founder and senior director of education and innovation of the Cambio Group.

The 2019 College and Career Conference will feature a number of practical workshops aligned with the following conference priorities: College & Career Access and Success, Financial Readiness and Success, Employability Skills and Education to Workforce Alignment, Social Emotional Readiness, Academic Readiness and Success, Collective Impact and Collaboration, and Equity and Success for ALL Youth.
