According to the 2018 Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book, 1 in 10 Indiana high school students (10.0%) experienced physical dating violence in the past year and 1 in 8 (12.6%) experienced sexual dating violence. Teen dating violence is associated with symptoms of depression and anxiety, suicidal ideation, engagement in delinquency and antisocial behavior, and abusing alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.

Join us for a free lunch presentation to better understand the dynamics of teen dating violence. Attendees will:

  • learn the five categories of domestic violence;
  • understand the effects of domestic violence on youth;
  • be able to recognize teen dating abuse and identify youth that may be in unsafe relationships; and
  • discover resources available to assist young people experiencing dating violence.
