Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Social and Emotional Health is responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, trainings and supports for youth serving organizations, mentors and families across Indiana. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, team-oriented and ambitious professional. This person has a strong dedication to improving the lives of young people with innovative and evidence-based curricula and instructional approaches.

The Director of Social and Emotional Health will be responsible for the development and execution of in-person trainings, e-based learnings and partnerships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a high degree of knowledge in social and emotional health, trauma informed responses and adult learning styles. This person has a deep knowledge of SEH competencies and frameworks includes ACE’s. He or she understands that this position spends most of their time outside of the office, training, equipping and mentoring organizations across Indiana.

The Director must be able to effectively collaborate with and coordinate with leadership to ensure timely deliverables, budget management, grant compliance and alignment across the Indiana Youth Institute. This person is methodical and fast-paced. Attention to detail, strong organization skills and a relentless drive for results is essential. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your sleeves position that also requires immense diplomacy skills.


Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of social and emotional health (or related experience).
Minimum of 5 years of instructional and training experience.
Master’s degree preferred.


This position reports to the Vice President of Professional Education and Organizational Capacity.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full time, exempt position with a strong benefits package. Salary is competitive and commensurate with level of experience.
