Family Playing Cards

When families are actively engaged in their children’s lives, the children are likely to have better outcomes.

Research shows that children with engaged families have improved academic performance, school attendance, graduation rates, motivation, self-esteem and overall well-being. They also are less likely to be suspended from school, abuse drugs or alcohol, or act out violently.1 Furthermore, these benefits remain true regardless of a family’s household income, race or ethnicity.
