About This Event

Mental health influences all areas of child well-being; children must have good mental health to reach their full potential. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma and poverty have been linked to an increased risk for mental health illnesses. youth who experience anxiety or depression face a higher risk of poor health outcomes as adults. Depression during adolescence is also associated with disrupted school performance and peer/family relationships.

Join us for this experience as we learn about various aspects of child mental health from local community leaders, followed by a group discussion about key learnings and action steps for supporting youth and families.
