About IYI

In This Section

As an advocate for healthy youth development in Indiana, the Indiana Youth Institute provides capacity-building programs and resources for the state’s youth workers and nonprofit, youth-serving organizations.

Mission: Our mission is to promote the healthy development of Indiana children and youth by serving the people, institutions and communities that impact their well-being.

Vision: Our vision is that all Indiana children and youth will attain five critical elements of healthy youth development: physical health and safety, emotional fulfillment, academic achievement, civic engagement and economic self-sufficiency.

IYI appreciates the generosity of its individual, corporate and foundation donors. We believe in transparency and good stewardship of the resources given to us on behalf of Indiana’s youth workers. Below, you will find our founding documents and recent financial statements.

“Thank you most of all for the work of your essential organization in this state. One of the two ‘I’s’ in IYI surely must stand for ‘invaluable,’ because that is certainly what I think of your organization in each of its forms of work. Indiana owes this organization a great deal. We are very fortunate to have this unique institution among those serving our citizens.”
