Indiana Responsible Fatherhood Grants

IYI has selected the winners of the first Indiana Responsible Fatherhood Community Access Grant for 2007:

• Fathers in Action Coalition, Fort Wayne
• Lakeshore Responsible Fatherhood Alliance, Gary
• Fathers Forever Coalition, Bedford
• Vanderburgh County Grassroots Prevention Coalition, Evansville
• Circle City Fatherhood Coalition, Indianapolis

The $999,000 Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Community Access Grant, one of only five awarded across the country, is part of a national initiative to strengthen local coalitions 
addressing this issue. IYI’s grant funds a statewide Indiana Responsible Fatherhood Coalition 
program that provides technical assistance and financial awards to five community collaborations 
that have implemented practical strategies for helping dads become more involved with their 
children. The program was launched with five regional fatherhood summits in November 2006, 
where interested organizations learned more about applying for the financial awards and 
successful programs for dads.
